Mel Kiper Jr., the best-known draft analyst in the country if not the best at the job, has the Browns taking quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the 12th pick in his third mock draft released March 22.
Kiper’s mock drafts are anticipated like the revelation of Academy Award nominees every January. They get more attention than those of others in the industry primarily because Kiper has been analyzing NFL drafts since 1981 when he founded Draft Publications Inc. when he was 21 years old. He started working for ESPN in 1984.
This is Kiper’s first mock draft in which he has the Browns taking Trubusky.
“This might be the ideal situation for the Browns, getting the top overall prospect at No. 1 (Myles Garrett) and the top quarterback at No. 12,” Kiper wrote. “This is assuming cheap nfl jerseys they don’t use draft capital to trade for Patriots backup Jimmy Garoppolo, who could still be available if the price is right. Trubisky (6-foot-2, 222 pounds), who went to high school in Northeast Ohio (Mentor High) and is a Cleveland sports fan, completed 68.2 percent of his passes and had 30 touchdown passes and six interceptions in his first season as a starter. The potential is there, but he’s green. Trubisky could compete with Cody Kessler and give the Browns some hope for the future.”

Kiper unveiled his first cheap jerseys china mock draft on Jan. 19 and his second on Feb. 15. In both, as well as Mock Draft 3.0, he has the Browns taking Garrett, the defensive end from Texas A&M, with the first pick.
Trubisky went to the San Francisco 49ers with the second pick in Kiper’s first two wholesale jerseys drafts. Since then, the 49ers signed Brian Hoyer on March 9 and Matt Barkley one day later.
Kiper switched his 49ers’ selection with the second pick to Stanford defensive end Solomon Thomas. Ironically, Thomas gave Trubisky fits in the 2016 Sun Bowl.
Trubisky is the first quarterback off the board in Kiper’s Mock Draft 3.0. He has the Arizona Cardinals taking Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson with the 13th pick and no other quarterbacks going in the first round.
Trubisky and the rest of the draft-eligible North Carolina Tar Heels had wholesale jerseys china their pro day March 21. Trubisky limited his work in front of scouts from virtually every NFL team to passing drills. He did not run or lift.
Todd McShay of ESPN attended Trubisky’s pro day as well as Watson’s and said Trubisky performed better, describing the effort as “a really crisp, clean workout.”
Trubisky cheap jerseys completed 52 of 60 passes in the workout at Chapel Hill, N.C. He was 23 of 27 on short throws and 29 of 33 on deep ones. Four passes were dropped.
“If I go back home to Cleveland, that’d be exciting. But wherever I go, I’m going to give that organization absolutely everything I’ve got, and it’s going to be a dream come true no matter what,’’ Trubisky told Mike Mayock on NFL Network. “I was just looking back at my journey and how far I’ve come as a quarterback and I think everything I’ve gone through whether it wasn’t playing and the season I had last year, all the defenses I’ve seen and all the football I’ve cheap jerseys from china been around, I’m finally ready to take that next leap to the next level.
“I know how to work, I know how to be a great team player, but I also know how to be that leader, know how to be that starting quarterback. I can do everything you need me to do on the field but I’m definitely that guy that you want leading your franchise and leading your locker room.’’
The biggest knock on Trubisky throughout this process is he started only 13 games at North Carolina. The lack of experience made Mayock one of his sternest critics, but after the pro day workout, Mayock said, “(Trubisky) really helped himself today.’’
Mayock told him, “You had a great day today.”
